Table lamp in turned wood and printed conical shade

Vintage table lamp, colored wooden base, printed lampshade, found in Alsace and updated in my Strasbourg workshop. Table lamp, painted turned wooden base. Beautiful "wine lees" stain. Estimated period of origin (for the lamp base): 1950, early 1960s. Origin: France. Style: this spiral turned wooden base is common in bedside or living room lamps of this period. Twisted wood (or "barley twist") is a decorative form that appeared as early as the 17th century, but which underwent several revivals, notably in the 1950s and 1960s, when we saw a return to the rustic and artisanal style in interiors. New conical lampshade with rolled finish. Multicolored printed fabric with geometric pattern. Lamp height with shade: 51 cm. Lamp base height: 36 cm. Lamp base diameter: 22 cm. Lower shade diameter: 45 cm. Lampshade diameter: 13 cm. It is designed to work with an e27 bulb. New electrical cable and socket. Indoor lighting: suitable for all rooms, except humid areas.
