Elegant coffee table with a typical 1950s design by René-Jean Caillette, combining sobriety and taut lines. It consists of a solid wood base with tapered shapes, a thick beveled glass top (1 cm thick, with rounded corners) and a magazine rack made of black lacquered metal rods. A bit of history: René-Jean Caillette is a French decorator and designer from the mid-20th century. He collaborated with publishers such as Charron and Steiner, and marked the history of furniture with his modernist creations within the ARP group, alongside Pierre Guariche and Alain Richard. A very fine example of post-war French modernist design. 📐 Dimensions: Height: 41 cm Length: 96 cm Depth: 48 cm Glass thickness: 1 cm 📌 Materials: • Solid wood (probably oak or ash) • Black lacquered metal • Original beveled glass, in very good condition 📦 Delivery possible in Toulouse and its surrounding area. 📦 Shipping throughout France via Cocolis, carefully packaged (photos before, during and after shipping).
