Description
Paul Jacquet: 1883-1968, ceramic artist from Annecy. He was a member of the Society of Fine Arts, of Savoie, then of the Society of Decorative Artists. He collaborated with the Primavera workshops between 1920 and 1925. He participated in the decorative arts exhibition in Paris in 1925. The ceramist offered simple pieces with a white/beige background, punctuated with stylized geometric or floral designs, in the spirit modernist of the time. He will receive the gold medal. Magnificent brown ceramic teapot with a pattern of ocher lines forming a grid. Artist's monogram signature below. Dimensions: total height: 15 cm, bottom ø: 12 cm, capacity: 1l, weight: 729 g. Condition: no cracks or breaks on the container. There are chips on the spout, around the lid and a lack of ocher enamel on the button. Small gaps under the lid which do not prevent closing.
