Description
Also called bukhara, a city in central asia and a major trading center, this carpet, made by the turkmen tribes, is composed of five borders with very stylized geometric patterns and we find in its field a repetition of the gül motif enhanced by many graphic details. Knotted in a pure soft wool of very good quality, the shimmering, almost volcanic colors attract the eye. The irregularities, considered by collectors to contribute to its charm, come from the fact that the looms are regularly dismantled to be transported as part of their nomadic lifestyle. The tribal elegance of this rug will fit perfectly into all types of interiors, from the most contemporary to the most classic.
