Our small Azilal rugs are joyful and unique pieces, handwoven in the Atlas Mountains of Morocco. Each rug is individually created by Amazigh artisans in our own cooperative, combining traditional Berber weaving techniques with an instinctive and wonderfully expressive use of colour. Compact yet full of character, these rugs feature playful geometric shapes, abstract patterns, and spontaneous details in vibrant shades of pink, orange, blue, red, green, and yellow, all set against the natural and warm tones of Moroccan sheep wool. No two rugs are exactly alike. The small irregularities, unexpected combinations of symbols, and variations in colour are part of their charm — each rug carries the personal touch of the woman who wove it. Each rug is handwoven by Amazigh (Berber) artisans in our own Moroccan cooperative, made from 100% natural sheep wool, individually knotted by hand using traditional techniques, created freely, making each design truly unique, soft, durable, and designed to be enjoyed for years. No mass production — just authentic Berber craftsmanship.
