Breton stool

My roots spoke for me. This breton stool was an obvious choice when I found it last summer. The straw seat is in superb condition; the base needed a little clean and a youthful touch. I wanted a color that would stand out, that would pop. I hesitated between a beautiful deep and bright green and a klein-style blue. My roots spoke for me again. The shutters in brittany. So blue won out: a beautiful custom-made midnight blue. Its generous proportions make it a choice piece for an interior with subtle blends, borrowing from the old and the modern. It would become almost timeless.
