It has the charm of small furniture that knows how to stand out without taking up too much space. This Art Deco console desk reveals, after stripping, a light oak and an elegant silhouette, punctuated by sculpted details. Its tiered backrest frames a sculpted frieze with plant and geometric motifs. The fluted legs and faceted knobs extend this composition. At the back of the top, two small drawers frame the backrest; the central drawer at the front completes the storage. The bottoms of the three drawers are lined with an off-white wallpaper featuring fine graphic gold and silver patterns, a delicate and unexpected touch. It will find its place in an entrance, a bedroom, or a study corner, as a console or a small supplementary desk. The wood has been stripped and is sold raw, without finish. It retains signs of use: irregularities in the wood on either side at the front of the top, as well as an area with a wavy relief, probably related to the previous placement of a hot object.
