A pair of antique cast iron andirons, adorned with delicate busts of children. Each base bears the relief inscription "L'Amour vainqueur, " referencing the famous theme of triumphant love (Amor Vincit). Appreciated in the decorative arts of the late 19th and early 20th centuries, this motif symbolises the victory of love, tenderness, and harmony over trials. Made of cast iron, these andirons are solid and stable. Beautiful dark brown patina. In good antique condition. Oxidation underneath due to age, with no impact on their sturdiness or aesthetics once installed.
