Description
Bottle of cologne of the rooster. Pressed colorless glass bottle molded of cylindrical section and shape, with molded decoration in relief of girdle friezes representing bees, dome decorated with a scale motif. The spherical cap taking up the tortoiseshell decoration, is completed with a plastic ring. Eau de cologne du coq 960 ml rare vintage made in paris. Created in 1833 by glassmaker pochet & ducouval for empress eugénie, the bottle is decorated with 69 bees, symbol of the empire. Height 16.5 cm. Diameter 6.3 cm. Water created by aimé guerlain in 1894 for maison guerlain. Label depicting 2 columns surmounted by the phrygian cap (worn at the time of the french revolution of 1789). In the center, a crown is surmounted by a rooster with outstretched wings. The label reads "guerlain 68, champs elysées, 68 paris". Inscription molded under the bottle "guerlain" "made in france" "i-f". Very beautiful motifs decorated with 69 bees. Very good condition with its vintage label. Weight of 691 grams (1.5 lbs) Total height of 23 cm (9.1 inches) on a circular base 10 cm in diameter (3.9 inches). Height without cap of 19.5 cm (7.7 inches).
