Original photograph by suraj n sharma: the chaksu pilgrimage. Chaksu, near Jaipur, is the seat of a temple dedicated to Sheetala Mata, the goddess of diseases and especially smallpox. Every year crowds of peasants went there. Suraj n sharma is a photographer from jaipur who during his life photographed jaipur and its surroundings documenting the traditions, crops, life of farmers and herders, festivals and religion etc. Each photograph bears the photographer's stamp on the back as well as the title he gave it.
