Rare real table tortoiseshells and brass by Ottini Milano 1973

Superb and unique round oak dining table completely covered with real turtle scales varnish, was made in milan by the small design studio ottini in 1973. Ottini made custom furniture for renowned architects and designers using only rare materials such as parchment, python, crocodile and tortoiseshell. The color palette and details of the tortoiseshell patchwork are simply incredible. The design is typical italian mid-century, rounded shapes and brass accents, reminiscent of the design of willy rizzo's tables. A truly unique piece, extremely rare, in a superb state of preservation.
