Beautiful antique tile in glazed faience of Persian origin (Iran), dating from the Qajar period (19th century). This tile features an elegant polychrome hand-painted decoration, depicting a stylised bird surrounded by floral motifs, in the artistic tradition known as “gol-o bolbol” (flower and nightingale), emblematic of Persian art. The whole piece is distinguished by a harmonious composition and fine design, both decorative and symbolic. The palette – cobalt blue, green, yellow, and brown on a white background – is typical of Iranian productions from this period. The octagonal shape, relatively rare, likely comes from an ancient decorative architectural use. The rough and irregular reverse, as well as the natural cracks in the glaze, testify to its authenticity and age. An authentic object, ideal for collectors, enthusiasts of oriental art, or interior decoration. It can be presented as is or integrated into a decorative project. Dimensions: 19.5 X 21 X 1.8 cm.
