Antique Iron Jali Window Mirror Frame 62x70cm

A lovely antique window frame, with an integrated iron jali panel from rajasthan. This architectural element, serving as ventilation in the desert climate, was without glass, having instead, an iron jali grille, which provided a modicum of privacy and security and allowing movement of air to circulate from the outside to within. It’s a very fine decorative piece, with very attractive original paint, its weathered patina, evidence of its considerable age. With nice detailing on the ironwork and now with the additional feature of a mirror, which gives it a magical touch. Dimensions height 70cm width 62cm depth 9cm.
