Ref.: 130x282. — Original description (EN) — Handmade Turkish Anatolia rag rug 4′3″ × 9′3″ 51.1'' X 111'' / 130x282cm. These authentic flat-weaves (Kilims) from eastern Turkey were handwoven by nomads, circa mid-20th century to be used as floor coverings in their tents and winter homes. They were made for everyday life rather than resale and export purposes, and today they are very popular in the interior design world for their contemporary simple designs and affordable prices. We have travelled extensively across Turkey in the last 20 years and carefully picked the sturdy and aesthetically beautiful Kilims, pile rugs, and other authentic handmade works of textile, tribal, and folk art which are getting harder and harder to find, especially in good condition. We now hand-stitch these old flat woven Kilim rugs together in our workshop to create room size and custom size floor coverings that are practical, very decorative, and suitable for both contemporary residential and commercial interiors.
