Vintage Art Deco porcelain coffee/tea service M&S Berry Limoges

Elegant complete coffee (or tea) service for 10 people, made of porcelain by the French manufacturer M&S (Massé & Surget). Stamped on the back of each piece: "Made in Berry with Limoges clay." This service is appealing due to its architectural and geometric lines characteristic of the Art Deco style. The octagonal shapes with cut corners of the coffee pot, cups, and serving pieces provide a very chic graphic presence on a table, enhanced by the fine Limoges clay of a pure and bright white. The edges are highlighted with a delicate trim of fine gold. Composition of the service (25 pieces): • 1 Coffee pot (with its lid) • 1 Sugar bowl (with its lid) • 1 Milk jug. • 10 Cups. • 12 Saucers (including 2 spare pieces) Condition: Excellent vintage condition. The porcelain shows no cracks or chips. The gilding is remarkably well preserved and retains all its original shine (see photos).
