Pastel and pencil on paper scene marine: margaret evans ship crossing the atlantic in 1846, marked and signed at the bottom (under the frame): r.a. Stewart 75. (1975). Format 47 X 60 X 4cm. Passes everywhere white 10cm wide, wooden frame painted white and protective glass. Back closed by screwed wooden plates, wall attachment system. This is a copy of the original oil painting by john stobart (1929 / 2023) The "margret evans" (marguerite) is a transatlantic merchant sailing liner which transported from 1846 from england (london, liverpool) passengers and goods to the united states of america (new york). Its transportation of thousands of immigrants made it mythical for americans. The painter r.a. Stewart is an anglo-saxon (possibly american) artist of the twentieth century. Packed weight 5kg.
