Set of 5 Bauhaus-style cantilever chairs in black leather with a chrome steel cantilever frame, reminiscent of the famous B34 model by Marcel Breuer or S34 by Mart Stam. • The frame uses bent tubular steel, and features removable cross metal tension bars. This mechanism is characteristic of Italian productions and reissues from the 1970s and 1980s. The 5 chairs are in generally good condition for their age but show more obvious signs of wear on the armrests. Since the armrest covers are the most used parts, it is quite normal for them to wear out first. The presence of a rigid metal plate inserted inside the leather of the armrest covers is an excellent indicator of quality. This confirms that it is a carefully crafted piece, typical of vintage Italian editions from the 1970s and 1980s. Although the armrests are worn, they can be repaired if necessary by a shoemaker, as the covers can be unscrewed. Seat height 45cm Despite the wear on the armrests, the chairs remain functional.
