French oval mirror gilded with fine gold, Louis XV style, dated 1913 (120 cm)

Large antique French oval mirror in Louis XV style (rocaille). An inscription on the back, discovered when removing the back for cleaning, indicates the date of 18-8-13: it dates from 1913. Frame in carved wood and stucco, gilded with fine gold. Original glass, beveled (it also bears a date of 1913 inscribed). The gilding, glass, and back are 100% original, nothing has been replaced. Condition: minor restorations on the upper pediment and on the lower ornament (visible in the detail photos) and some superficial cracks in the stucco, due to age. Traces of old woodworms very localized on the back, treated and holes filled. Otherwise, very good overall condition. Dimensions: 120 x 66 x 20 cm (total).
