A pair of vintage wall sconces from the 1970s. With high-quality craftsmanship, these German-made light fixtures (designed to accompany high-end RAL-certified mirrors) perfectly fit the sought-after Hollywood Regency and neoclassical style. Each sconce features a robust brass structure finely crafted in twisted rope, extending into a wall rose with a pleated collar. The centrepiece of these fixtures lies in their imposing thick moulded glass spherical globes, adorned with beautiful wavy relief stripes (crushed ice effect). This architectural glass work allows for a textured light diffusion. The brass has a nuanced patina, more pronounced at the pleated corollas that hold the globes. This finish reflects a protective treatment designed to preserve the metal in humid environments. The two moulded glass globes are in absolutely impeccable condition and completely intact. They are part of a bathroom set. The matching large circular mirror with a diameter of 52 cm, as well as the courtesy shelf in plexiglass (Lucite) with all its brass accessories (towel holder, hook), are also available for sale in my shop. Weight of the pair is 2.2 kg.
