Superb pair of collectible porcelain plates from Limoges, originating from the famous William Guérin & Cie factory. Highlights: Authenticity: Green marking on the reverse "WG & Co Limoges France", corresponding to the production period between 1891 and 1932. Artist's Work: Each plate features a unique decoration of still lifes (pears, grapes, peaches) executed with great mastery of colours. Both pieces are signed "LUC" on the decoration, attesting to the work of a professional painter-decorator. Design: Polylobed border highlighted with a fine gold line. The backgrounds are worked with colour gradients (purple/pink) that enhance the realism of the fruits. Exceptional condition for pieces over a century old. The porcelain is intact, the colours remain vibrant, and the gilding is very well preserved. Ideal for a collector of antique porcelain or for refined wall decoration.
