Description
Oil on canvas, Shipment protected with insurance, Certificate of authenticity provided by the gallery. Born in 1934 in nice - france. "the one who paints". Danielle jacqui began drawing in 1945 and since then she has never stopped. In 1970, she became a flea market and exhibited on her stands, her works: paintings, painted furniture, embroidery. The creative act is an almost submersion act: this need to pile up, to accumulate. It is her "house-workshop" painted and decorated in an unusual way that makes her famous. Covered from floor to ceiling, bas-reliefs, paintings, mosaics and brightly colored inscriptions inside and out. The "house of the one who paints", as she calls it, becomes a real cabinet of curiosity where not a single square centimeter escapes the abundant creativity of the artist. She integrates into her productions a number of recovered objects and mixes, in total freedom of expression, drawing, writing, embroidery, ceramics. His raw, hatched, almost scribbled line writes the curves of his characters. We find in his work features of ferdinand cheval or niki de saint phalle.
