Kay kørbing saga wall lights, produced by lyfa denmark 1950-1960s. Produced by lyfa and designed by danish architect kay kørbing, these "saga" wall lights are true collector's items. This pair of "saga" wall lights is a fantastic example of how the 1960s are still able to deliver modern "art" to any interior. The manufacturer, lyfa, produced some cabin lights and in its heyday - from the 1950s to the mid-1970s - was considered a pioneer of innovative, architectural lighting. It is believed that kay kørbing designed this model for two school ships: m/s princesse margrethe and m/s winston churchill. In good vintage condition. Wear consistent with age and use. The brass body has a beautiful patina with some marks and discolouration. The glass has some minimal chips at the bottom, please see all the pictures. They measure approx. 36 cm in length, 12 cm in width and protrude approx. 14 cm from the wall. And they weigh approx. 1900 grams each, great, good quality lamps. All original parts are present. They are for hard-wiring directly into the wall, so the wire in the picture is only to show them with light in. One bulb is included per lamp (has a standard e26/e27 porcelain socket) The price is for the pair = both lamps and they are only sold together as it would be a shame to take them apart. Packed securely and shipped with insurance. Shipping eu 20 €. Shipping uk 40 €. Shipping rest of the world 70 €.
