Italian sofa from the 1970s – Model 895 by Paolo Caliari – Original feather and fabric – Attributed to Cassina. Italian sofa from the 1970s, model 895 attributed to Paolo Caliari. A beautiful modernist piece with balanced proportions (225 cm), characterised by deep buttoning and a low structure made of dark solid wood, typical of high-end Italian productions of the time. The fabric is a grey mélange with a bluish hue, original, featuring subtle orange reflections. A slight warm, homogeneous, and regular patina contributes fully to its charm and authenticity. The slightly warm tone of the textile corresponds to the natural ageing of the original fabric. The seat and back cushions are filled with original feathers, providing particularly soft and enveloping comfort. The structure is perfectly healthy and solid. Very good overall condition. A small superficial burn of one centimetre in diameter on the front (photo). No label present — sold as attributed.
