1960s Side chair by Gilbert Marklund for Furusnickarn Ab, Sweden

An highly recognizable dining / side chair designed by Gilbert Marklund, manufactured by Furusnickarn AB in Sweden around 1960. This is a hard to find piece that is an iconic find of mid-century Scandinavian design! Executed in pine wood in a beautiful warm brown colour. It ha a unique style that combines simple shapes with the subtle details that provide seating comfort as well as an eye-catching style. The round perforations in the base and backrest add nicely to it’s modern style and makes it an interesting piece from every angle, that could fit in many different kinds of decors. This lovely chair remains in good, vintage condition with some wear and user marks (as reflected in photos) consistent with age and use, preserving a beautiful patina.
