Charles & ray eames for herman miller publisher, suite of 4 armchairs "dal", called "1730-1", or "la fonda". Base in white lacquered cast aluminum, fiberglass shell, green synthetic upholstery. Edition of the 60s. The la fonda series was a special line of chairs from the early 1960s for the restaurant la fonda mexican cuisine, at time life in new york city. The design project for the restaurant was led by eames' family friend: alexander girard, a talented architect and designer with whom herman miller collaborated until 1973. H 73 cm X d 63 cm X w 57 cm. H seated 48 cm. Some marks of normal wear and tear and marks on fabrics and feet (see photos).
