Painted French farmhouse kitchen cabinet from the early 1900s

What a beautiful cupboard, this french farmhouse from the early 1800s. Painted with different painting methods on the front and side, with four beautiful authentic hinges and a decorated edge at the bottom. In the past, the case has had knobs and a lock. When it no longer functioned, they were removed and closed. Then primitively, but very effectively dissolved with a wooden bobbin. This ensures that both doors remain closed. The lock of the drawer was stuck and has been made common again. When buying the cabinet, we were of course immediately sold by the simple appearance of this piece of furniture, but the condition was not so good. Over the years there have been many bugs and mainly woodworms. Naturally, the cabinet is immediately treated well against woodworm. The bottom was too far gone and has therefore been replaced. All holes have been blown out and closed with wood filler. The cabinet has been completely restored and provided with a layer of wax. Two zinc plates can be seen at the back of the cabinet. These were mounted at the time so that no vermin could get into the box. A characteristic cabinet with a beautiful patina!.
