This superb light fixture from the 1980s is made up of a colorless and frosted plexiglass dome, bordered by a pine wood arch. It also features a charming post-modern style pine handle and, on top, a matching pine dome to attach the raise and lower mechanism, as well as a white plastic cup at the top to hide the electrical connection and the ceiling hook. A label is affixed to the wooden dome: Requeni Iluminacion, a Spanish company that produced dozens of stunning post-modern designer lamps and fixtures in the 1980s. At that time, head-height lamps were particularly popular in the -top of a modernist dining table; they were placed in a low position for elegant mood lighting or left in a high position to illuminate the entire room and create a more homely atmosphere. In very good condition, with only very light marks of age on the surface. The up and down mechanism isn't quite adjusted, it could probably benefit from someone with a little know-how tinkering with it. There is a dial to tighten and release the mechanism but it is a bit tight and doesn't come up easily. The lamp itself is currently in working order, but you will need a professional electrician or experienced DIYer to attach it to the desired location, and it will be up to them to operate it . If you have any concerns about safety, you should also have it tested by a professional. Please see all the photos and remember it is over 40 years old and pre-owned. Approximate measurements: Shade diameter - 43 cm. Shade height - 12 cm. The lampshade is compatible with an E27 Edison screw bulb (not included).
