Charming set consisting of a sugar bowl and a small jug, possibly a milk jug, made of glazed earthenware in an ecru colour with a light brown brushstroke decoration, almost brutalist, applied quickly with a brush on the jug and more lightly on the sugar bowl. Both are stamped Longchamp underneath. The stamp is "blurred" on the sugar bowl and almost illegible on the jug, so I initially thought it might be a counterfeit, but it seems this is often the case with Longchamp tableware from this period, so I leave it to you to judge ;) The history of ceramics at Longchamp goes back over 6 centuries, and it was in this context that the tableware factory was established in 1832. However, the story came to a halt in 2008, before being revived to produce fine porcelain in 2016. This set likely dates from the 1970s and is in perfect condition, with no cracks, chips, or even a nick. The jug measures 10.5 cm in height, 14 cm in width from the spout to the handle, and about 9 cm in maximum diameter. The sugar bowl measures 13.5 cm in height with the lid, and approximately 11 cm in maximum diameter.
