Description
This lithograph is signed and monogrammed with a red stamp in the plate. We point out that the lithograph has folded corners, traces and tears on the margin, yellowed edges, however the work remains in an acceptable state, the colors have remained fresh. Henri rivière (1864-1951) was a french painter, engraver and illustrator. He began his career with drawing and then with intaglio engraving and specifically etching in 1882. At the same time, he began a career as a director and scenographer, in 1886, from shadow theatre to the cabaret du chat noir, shows that he improved by creating highly innovative colour sets. He then devoted himself exclusively to painting and engraving and established himself in the history of etching, printmaking, wood engraving, lithography and watercolor (he painted about a thousand watercolors).
