Very good general condition for this set of 2 tea cups and their sub-cups in fine earthenware with polychrome floral decoration on a white background of the earthenware factory "pontesa spain". Generous dimensions: for the cup, height 7 cm X diameter 10 cm; for the undercup, height 2 cm X diameter 16.5 cm. The earthenware factory "alfares de ponte sampaio", better known as "pontesa", was created in the 1940s in spain. The factory quickly established itself as the largest porcelain producer in the country. In particular, she proposed wonderful collections with floral motifs. Closed since 2001, it has employed thousands of people in galicia. The photographer marta moreiras has dedicated an exhibition to its history and its artisans.
