Bordeaux Bowfront Commode in Solid Mahogany, Louis XV Period, Marble Top. Beautiful Bordeaux commode known as "bowfront" in solid mahogany, with a flowing shape on all sides, crafted in the Bordeaux region in the second half of the 18th century, during the Louis XV period. It features three drawers arranged in three rows on the front, highlighted by an elegant curved line characteristic of Bordeaux productions. The crosspieces and uprights showcase remarkable shaping, giving the piece a particularly harmonious silhouette. The furniture rests on four cabriole legs ending in scrolls. It is topped with a thick marble slab in cream and ochre tones, perfectly following the contours of the structure. The front reveals a superb flame and speckled mahogany grain. The drawer handles and lock entries in gilded bronze add a beautiful decorative accent and perfectly match the warmth of the wood. This commode elegantly illustrates the refinement of 18th-century Bordeaux furniture, renowned for the quality of its exotic woods and generous forms. Dimensions: Width: 134 cm. Depth: 72 cm. Height: 101 cm. Condition: Very good presentation condition. Usual and maintenance restorations. Old marble with minor wear consistent with age. Old locks and bronzes. Period: Louis XV, 18th century.
