Fritz hansen / scandinavian papercord dining set (5) / mogens lassen / denmark 1960s

Rare set of four papercord dining chairs with matching table designed by mogens lassen for fritz hansen, denmark 1960s. The chairs, model 4216, have a special geometry with a kind of corner arrangement. The advantage is that the 4 chairs with matching table can be used well in a smaller space. The wooden frame with the curved plywood backrest is painted black. The seats are made of braided rope (papercord). The table, model 4626, has a frame with the same appearance as the chairs. The wooden table top has a finish with a kind of hpl. Condition: the chairs are in good condition. The papercord seats are all intact and reasonably tight. The woodwork has some traces of use. The black lacquer on the edges of the backrests have slight wear. Furthermore, traces of use on the frame in accordance with the age. Dimensions chairs: width 48, 5 cm, depth 48, 5 cm, height 72 cm, seatingheight 45, 5 cm. Dimensions table: width 79 cm, depth 79 cm, height 70, 5 cm.
