1970s “Synthesis” desk chairs by Ettore Sottsass for Olivetti, Italy

The “synthesis” desk chair is a design by ettore sottsass, manufactured by olivetti in italy around 1970. Made of nice quality brown plastic, this is a highly recognizable piece of italian design. It has a curved seat, nicely molded into an ergonomic shape, and straight armrests. This contrast in the design is a nice detail! It’s completely brown and stands on a crossbase. The seat is adjustable in height from 71 to 83 cm (seating height 40 to 52 cm). A lovely find of mid-century design that will definitely be an eye-catching addition to the office space!
