Vintage Wooden Workshop Stool / Wabi-Sabi Sculptural Pedestal, 1930s-1
Authentic, heavy-duty artisan work stool (low carpenter's sawhorse) from the mid-20th century, preserved in its original workshop condition with a multi-layered, painterly patina. Due to its compact proportions and raw texture, it works wonderfully in contemporary interiors as a low pedestal for ceramics, sculpture, or a plant. The top is made from a thick wooden beam featuring a characteristic longitudinal slot used for guiding a saw blade. One of the legs was historically reinforced with a steel flat bar fastened with vintage screws. The top surface boasts a unique, rough structure with layers of ochre, yellow, rust brown, and white, while the sides retain a muted, workshop green. The object is fully stable, bearing natural traces of years of workshop use.
