The piece features a very elegant inverted chalice or diabolo shape, enhanced by a complex glazing technique: a three-dimensional cratered relief with a layering of bubbling glazes creating alveoli and volcanic cavities. A gradient of warm and earthy colours: shades of chocolate brown, golden honey, and verdigris/turquoise that beautifully capture the light. The interior is fully glazed in a smooth matte black, perfectly contrasting with the rough and shiny texture of the outer wall. The raw terracotta base (unsigned, typical of many artisanal productions from this era) shows a smooth heel that attests to its handcrafted nature and authenticity. In excellent condition. The volcanic glaze is perfectly preserved with all its original brilliance. No chips, cracks, or losses to report.
