Sublime haitian school from the second half of the 20th century, 1960s period, signed lower left r.viard for raoul viard (1921-1984), a talented painter known for his neo-impressionist work on the theme of seascapes. Using mainly the oil technique applied with a coating knife, his works rich in bright colors breathe the spirit of the islands. Painted on an isorel panel, the painting depicts a seascape with the presence of a boat and a small cottage typical of haiti. Magnificent mastery and brushstroke, these artists, world-renowned today, have an interesting coast, especially for their seascapes. Montparnasse-type rechampi wooden frame, with a slight lack of marie-louise at the bottom left. The panel has no major defects.
