The Mado sideboard, very functional thanks to its various storage spaces, was an essential piece of furniture in the 1950s. It stands out for its rounded lines and the originality of its doors of different sizes. Made of solid wood and veneer. This sideboard has been sanded and partially painted in matte anthracite grey. The bottom of the legs is covered with an aluminium sheet that adds an industrial touch to the piece. The original balatum (a flooring material resembling lino, akin to "carpet") on the top has been replaced with a plywood board. The doors close well with a magnet and are not warped. The black "shell" handles are not original. The few signs of use are visible in the numerous photos that are an integral part of the description (e.g., paint defects). There are holes from inactive woodworm (see photos), which I have treated with a mixture of linseed oil and turpentine. The interior doors provide storage for bottles. This low piece of furniture, which will take up less space in your room than a full sideboard, offers significant storage capacity. A beautiful item that will add character to your room.
