Vallauris ceramic ashtray with floral motif

The ashtray is in perfect condition, it is intact, no cracks, no shards. Free forle, very organic, and with glazed brown speckled matte enamel, it is adorned with a slight stem of naples yellow aster, and brown foliage. The coin is marked with vallauris backhand in hollows, and I think it comes from the workshop of alexandre kostanda. He founded his studio in 1954, where he turned the sandstone with land brought from cluny. Its sandstones are covered with engobes ranging from brown to red, and their decorations oscillate between a painted floral decoration, and a rigorous engraved geometric, sometimes embellished with stains.
