Beautiful monumental poster of savoy by jean flormay. 100*65 cm. 1940. Large pictorial map of savoy drawn by the illustrator jean flormay and published in paris in 1948 by the compagnie des arts photomécaniques (cap), well known for their postcards. This decorative map shows the main communication routes, river networks of the region with an elegant and successful color scheme. Enriched by numerous vignettes presenting historical and tourist attractions, cartouche in the classical taste with the title and heraldic coat of arms and complemented by the allegorical representation of the neighboring countries, switzerland and italy, as a typical mountain landscape and as a roman centurion.
