Vase Alvar Aalto

A white 'savoy' vase designed by the Finnish architect alvar aalto (1898-1976) in 1936, published by Iittala Finland.. Moulded blown vase in bi-layer opaline glass. Screen-printed underneath alvar aalto, original label in place. Some scratches of use underneath. Note 2 small gins on the neck (diameters 1mm), fortunately invisible on the white glass, one on the outside, the other on the inside (see on the photos). This vase revolutionized glass art and vase design when it was presented at the 1937 world's fair. Still produced by iitala finland. An iconic and timeless object.
