Nils Johan Thorvald Thorsson (1898–1975) was a Swedish-Danish ceramic designer and one of the most prolific designers at Royal Copenhagen–Aluminia. He worked there for over sixty years, including as artistic director of Aluminia (1928–1969) and Royal Copenhagen (1949–1969); his designs blend nature-inspired, geometric, and abstract motifs, achieving a perfect balance between rigorous technique and expressive aesthetics.
