Old wooden spice box India

Old rotating wooden spice box from india. Longitudinal in shape, it was designed from a piece of solid wood, and has 3 different compartments. Entirely made by hand, the compartments are dissimilar in size and depth. The diamond-shaped pivoting part allows the long cover to be slid using a large nail. Although this box remains very rudimentary, note the presence of bevels in the thickness of the wood and on all four sides. Usual heavy piece with a beautiful patina. Folk art.
