Vintage coffee table 1950s / 1960s

Coffee table for the living room or as a side table from around 1950/60. French style, popular, post-war and reconstruction... Structure in matte black lacquered steel and top made of small two-colour ceramic tiles. Tapered steel legs. Mosaic tiling in bright colours. All the codes of retro but with sobriety, elegance, and enough modernity to fit into many decors... Very good condition overall. Note, only 2 small tiles are chipped, but nothing dramatic considering the age... This defect is not particularly shocking as the tiles are laid edge to edge without glue in a nearly rudimentary way, giving the whole a naturally irregular charm...
