Bistro chair Mundus

This curved wooden chair dates from the very beginning of the twentieth century. It comes from the austrian manufacture mundus which, like j&j kohn, fischel and baumann late folds, will take advantage of the expiry of thonet's patents on curved wood to start their production. The models of the mundus manufacture are rare since produced in much smaller quantities than those of the house thonet or fischel. This model dates from the art nouveau era, we love its round pyroengraved seat with floral decoration and its curved and rounded backrest. It still has its original label under the seat and is in good condition despite the passage of vrillette on the wood (see photo) which has of course been treated. Beautiful original patina.
