This oriental scene represents the entrance to a medina, it is dated 1895. It is signed by paul levéré (1875-1949) french painter. Paul levéré paints landscapes of provence and the mediterranean riviera. He was appointed official painter of the navy in 1924. The frame is later but goes perfectly with this work. The work has not been restored, it has some small damage, note lack of paint, wear and friction, nothing very dramatic. We report some gaps on the frame and traces behind the frame.
