Small vase signed by Jacques Blin.

This small vase perfectly illustrates the unique style developed by the artist Jacques Blin from the 1950s onwards. The geometric and graphic patterns are engraved with a point directly into the clay (a technique known as drypoint or scarification). The graphics are directly inspired by rock art and primitive arts, a visual signature shared with his close collaborator, the painter Jean Rustin. No chips or cracks. Height 7.5cm, diameter 8.5cm. Jacques Blin (1920-1995) is a major French ceramist of the 20th century, emblematic of the 1950s and 1960s.
