Viennese Secession armchair, No. 420, designed for Kohn around 1905. It is newly upholstered with an original Backhausen fabric, named "PFAUENAUGE." The model presented is a Thonet production from the 1925s, Thonet label. The brass legs still have a patina. The Thonet-Mundus company, which acquired the manufacturer KOHN in 1922, continued to produce many models initiated by KOHN until the 1930s. The Thonet and Kohn factories, which were initially located in the Austro-Hungarian Empire, are now mostly located in the Czech Republic and Slovakia. This piece is in perfect condition, with a French-washed shellac finish and an American mahogany stain. Dimensions: Height: 95 cm - Width (total): 61 cm - Seat height: 48 cm - Armrest height: 69 cm.
