Ceiling light or wall sconce in moulded bubble glass, European work from the 1970s in the spirit of German productions by Glashütte Limburg or Doria Leuchten. Thick transparent glass with organic relief "bubble glass", structured by eight amber ribs applied hot. The surface alternates bubbles, drops, and rounded reliefs that diffuse light softly and very graphically. Once lit, the glass creates a warm and textured halo typical of Space Age lighting from the period. Can be mounted as a ceiling light or wall sconce thanks to the original metal base. White lacquered metal structure. E27 ceramic socket. Dating: 1970s. Probable origin: Germany or Northern Europe. Style: Space Age / Modernist / Bubble Glass. Dimensions: glass diameter: 24 cm, height: 12 cm, metal base diameter: 18 cm. Condition: Very good general vintage condition. Glass without chips or cracks observed. Discreet signs of use and slight patina consistent with age. A very decorative piece even when off. When lit, the ceiling light immediately transforms the atmosphere. The kind of light that makes you want to put on some fusion jazz and discuss interior architecture until midnight. Price: €145.
