Statuette virgin religious sculpture in wood

Charming and intriguing, this stylized statuette will not leave indifferent. Very slender, with a finely carved face, it is a very nice work of sculpture. Unfortunately, I can't say much about it, except for guesswork: maybe a black madonna, probably a sculpture of african origin. For wood, I will say ebony but without certainty because I am not a specialist, a dark wood, almost black, with a veining a little lighter, very hard and very smooth, soft to the touch. The base seems to me to be made of a different wood, probably stained. If I have new information, I will add it here. It is in good general condition, solid and stable but with some small marks, some original, and some scratches. The base has a lighter part at the back. It measures 33.5 cm in height, 4cm in width at the shoulders and weighs about 350 g.
