Art Nouveau Table Mirror, Pierre Bex, France, 1970s. Elegant brass table mirror, published by the Pierre Bex company — a French artisan business founded in Nancy in 1969, known for its faithful reissues of the Art Nouveau and Art Deco decorative repertoire. The rectangular frame, with fluid lines characteristic of the 1900 style, unfolds into floral branch motifs chiselled in the upper right corner and extends into a curved foot adorned with a slightly raised floral rosette. An elegant feminine silhouette, with flowing hair and enveloping drapery, nestles along the right post — an emblematic motif of Art Nouveau aesthetics, both graceful and sculptural. The whole rests on a stable base at the back, allowing the mirror to be placed on a dressing table, chest of drawers, or console. The rectangular glass, in good condition, offers a generous reflective surface. Handmade in France from antique stamps, each Pierre Bex piece features a warm golden patina, true to the spirit of original Belle Époque pieces, while embodying the artisanal craftsmanship of the 1970s. Height 25.5 cm. Width 20 cm.
